Annual Report

St. Mary’s School, Buddhi Vihar is a part of St. Ann’s Education Mission which is being run under Moradabad St. Mary’s Society established in 2015.

The Annual report showcases the achievements and glories of our school, undoubtedly, but also makes us think deeply about our scope of improvement. The school has always been committed to create an environment that helps the young minds to blossom and provide a platform for individual thinking and holistic development of the child’s personality.

We set standards and goals for the marians and strive to achieve them be it in the area of academics, sports, discipline, leadership or more.

Each year St. Mary’s holds the Annual Prize distribution ceremony to honour those students who have made the school proud with their brilliant efforts not only in the academics but also in the co-curricular areas

Participation in the CBSE Science, Mathematics, English, Informatics’, SST like BRICS, Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge, Heritage India Quiz, Adobe Computer Challenge, Reading Challenge, Brain O Brain Science & Maths Olympiad etc. itself is the biggest competition where a student competes to outshine others. It infuses a healthy competition sprit through reward based assessment. Our children came up with certificates of appreciation in all the competition.

Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges & sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead, Sports, Games and physical fitness (exercises and yoga) occupy a place of importance in our curriculum. Keeping this idea, the school has organized Annual sports meet on 4th December 2019 in the school playground where Marians displayed their level of energies us front of the dignitaries setting the tone for the event including Frog race, Relay race, Kho-kho, lemon race and drills based on different themes.

Yoga classes were taken by PTI’s bi-weekly so as to make our children physically and mentally fit.

School Houses

The students of the school are divided into four houses; Amethyst, Garnet, Emerald and Diamond each house is managed by the Teachers, and students as a House Captain and Vice captain including Discipline and Health minister. The House on duty peforms its duty of conducting the day to day activities, competitions in systematic and disciplined manner.

School Clubs
"All work and no play makes jack a dull boy."

Various co-curricular activities are held under different clubs to develop a child physically, morally, socially and mentally and to have skills in co-scholastic areas. Regular monthly activities are held in which the students participate and display their caliber.

The different clubs are: Art & Craft Club

In Art & craft club where students do painting, sketching, use of best out of waste and best ones are displayed in the creative corner of the school’s website.

Eco Club

An eco-club named ‘ BHOOMIKA’ is formed in the school that undertakes various activities related to the protection of the environment every month. The list of activities to be conducted are pre-planned by the teacher in-charges. A few examples of activities are Eco-friendly fancy dress of class I & II, Use of Bio degradable & non-degradable wastes, water conservation activities had also taken place this year by higher secondary classes in which students came out with meaningful and creative ideas of water conservation through plays/drama and activities.

SNF Club

To inculcate in the students the healthy food habits and healthy life style an awareness club named safety of nutrition & food club has been organized . This club undertakes the activities related to food and its hygiene and focuses upon the intake of healthy and nutritious diet. Various activities were undertaken by the club to spread awareness about healthy eating habits through theme based morning assemblies fancy dress shows, projects etc.


It stands for Social Empowerment Through Work and Action. The concept is based on the idea of “Learning to live together” detailing the structures for learning in 21st century. It focuses on developing social consciousness of the learners through simple meaningful work at the individual level. The activities like seminars on gender sensitization community awareness regarding sanitation & civic habits, women empowerment counseling sessions, gardening project have been undertaken under this project by Health and Physical trainers in the school. Performing SEWA is important because it demonstrates the belief in equality and the importance of all people.

Student’s Seminars & Workshops
"A per son who never makes a mistake never tries anything new".

To ensure that our students are well equipped with knowledge to face any challenge, we have focused sessions on special topics including traffic rules, Health & Hygiene for girls organized by the representators of P&G India PVT.LTD, gender sensitization by school teachers, also self-defense awareness workshop. “Be an opponent, not a victim keeping in mind the safety of our children a preliminary workshop was organized under the guidance of ASI and his team.

Teachers In-service Training & Workshop
"Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever."

In keeping with the schools policy of continuous up gradation of knowledge and skills our teachers attended various workshops and seminars organized by the other schools, CBSE and our school so as to improve their academic transaction skills and to update their capabilities. Seminars and capacity building programmes were on these topics namely Creative thinking and Classroom Management, Life skills, Gender Sensitivity, Multiple Intelligence and Appreciative Inquiry, Inclusion & Inclusive strategies.

Some seminars were conducted by other schools subjects wise too like those of English, Hindi, Information Technology, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science. In these seminars the teachers were given the information about the latest changes being brought in by CBSE in the syllabus and about new methodologies can be adopted which teaching so as to make teaching learning process more experiential based.


To inculcate the values of secularism the school celebrated major festivals like Diwali, Christmas, Gurupurab etc. National festivals were also celebrated with full enthusiasm follow the circulars and guidelines provided by CBSE. Some of the celebrations undertaken by the school were 150th Birth Anniversary celebration of Mahatama Gandhi (A week programme), Independence day, Republic Day, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.Hindi Diwas , Matrabhasha Diwas These all celebrations were done in order to develop the spirit of nationalism amongst the students.


To develop and explore the hidden talents of our children and for the development of their personality the school has encouraged the participation of the students in various competition organized during the session like Drawing, Panting, Essay writing (English/Hindi), Speech, Debate, Recitation (English/Hindi), Group/Duet/Solo Singing, Calligraphy, Extempore. These competitions helped them to boost up their confidence level.


Awareness campaigns were also organized on Cleanliness under Swachhta Pakhwada in the month of October, Fitness week campaign in the month of November & Vigilance Awareness Campaign.

Parent Teacher Meeting

Parents teacher meeting are organized at regular intervals of time so as to show the level of performance shown by the students in the particular period of time. It also develops a healthy communication between the parent’ teachers and parent school administration.


To develop the value of sharing with the less privileged ones of the society the school every year organizes a charity drive in the month of December. This year also school generously contributed in the charity drive.


The students of our school participated in CBSE Science Exhibition organized in November 2019 in Kashipur The project our school was as Elevated Ambulance. Our girls came up with the certificate of appreciation. Also, our children had enrolled for INSPIRE Award in September 2019. They had made the project on Automatic Garbage collection, for which result is awaited.
